The Course

WREKIN GOLF CLUB was established over a century ago in 1905.

It is situated within the shadow of The Wrekin & adjacent to The Ercall above Wellington.

A truly picturesque golf course surrounded by natural woodland that benefits from spectacular & inspiring views across & beyond the North Shropshire plain.

A challenging but fair test to golfers of all levels.

A warm welcome is  extended to new members, guests, visitors & societies alike.

The greens are in superb Winter condition with a speed of 9 to 9.5 on the stimp meter; no Winter greens in play.

Par 66, 5570 yards, those new to the course think it may be easy to play but as Shropshire professionals, including Ian Woosnam & Sandy Lyle have found it isn't.

The course standard scratch of 68, 2 shots over the par also attest to the difficulty.

No hidden hazzards, the difficulty comes from good golf course design & a big premium for being in the right place to attack the tricky greens.
